About Yuki-Jo

Positioned in the centre of the world-famous powder snow ski slopes of Furano, Yuki-Jo ski Lodge brings an exciting and luxurious new dimension to Furano's existing accommodation offerings.

Yuki-Jo was conceptualised and created by a small group of Western Australian business leaders and friends who became captivated with Furano over several ski trips to Japan and decided to build a dedicated, world-class ski lodge for their friends, family and other travellers from Australia, New Zealand, Japan and around the world to enjoy.

Completed in July 2008, Yuki-Jo features nine designer bedrooms, private onsen and sauna, interior lift, wine cellar, traditional Japanese gardens, top-of-the-range appliances, expansive storage and state-of-the-art electronics; including blue ray DVD recorders, plasma TVs and a panoramic viewing lounge.

Architectural Design

Yuki-Jo reflects a stylish and holistic architectural design where luxury meets adventure, technology meets the environment and relaxation is redefined.

Designed by local architectural and building firm Sanei-Build Kogyo Co Ltd, which has been associated with the construction and design of a number of leading hotels, restaurants and ski retreats in the Furano area - Yuki-Jo has been created with a stylish fit-out that is as practical as it is luxurious.

With a design philosophy aimed at balance, reflection and relaxation - Yuki-Jo has been exclusively furnished with the finest custom-made furniture from internationally renowned manufacturer Conde House

The architectural design also has strong consideration for the environment, with Yuki-Jo's design focused towards 24/7 low energy consumption. Features include: sophisticated insulation; solar power, waste-water treatment and energy saving lighting and air-conditioning systems.

Luxury Living - Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Yuki-Jo's nine bedrooms all boast private ensuites and outstanding design features. Two penthouse suites are located on the top floor and feature a panoramic view lounge, designer bathrooms, balconies, Japanese gardens and plasma television and blue ray dvd players.

With the capacity to sleep up to 18 people, Yuki-Jo comprises the following bedroom layout design:

  • Level 2 - Bedroom 1
  • Level 3 - Bedrooms 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7
  • Level 4 - Bedrooms 7 & 8 - Penthouse suites

Traditional gardens, including Japanese bridges, are also a feature on the ground, and fourth floors, On the third floor, a sauna and indoor/outdoor onsen further add to the luxurious surrounds.

Dining Facilities

Located on the third floor, cooking and dining facilities at Yuki-Jo reflect the ultimate mix of traditional and contemporary design, offering quality kitchen appliances and two authentic Japanese dining rooms (Washitsu) complete with tatami flooring, shoji screens and a grill table. Kitchen features include:

  • ToTo glass top kitchen with IH cooking top
  • Motorised shelves,
  • Miele high capacity dish washers,
  • 4-function integrated oven (microwave, grill, oven, steamer),
  • Large breakfast counter,
  • Mobile kitchen island with marble finishes.

Guests can choose to fully self-cater during their stay, engage the services of a local chef on a part or full-time basis, or dine out at one of the many fantastic cafes and restaurants in Furano. A welcome box of basic grocery essentials is complimentary on arrival, to help you settle in!

Lounge and Entertainment Facilities

With two traditional dining rooms (Washitsu), private gardens and panoramic viewing lounges equipped with Sony 52 inch plasma TVs and blue ray DVD players; Yuki-Jo offers the ultimate in indulgent relaxation and entertainment facilities.

Internet access is also available throughout the house via a wireless network and a number of popular dvds and cds are available for your viewing and listening enjoyment during your stay.
