Getting There
There are many ways to arrive at Yuki-Jo. Transport options are varied and include rail, buses, rental car or private transfer.
Air
Furano is approximately 115km from Sapporo and is accessible from either New Chitose (Sapporo) Airport or Asahikawa International Airport, which is located 50km away. Domestic flights to both areas operate daily.
Nearly all of the major international airlines travel daily to Japan, with seamless connections from Tokyo to Hokaido in around 90 minutes. The close proximity and time zone similarities, make Furano a popular destination for Australian and New Zealand skiers.
Train
If arriving by train, Furano can be reached via an indirect link from Sapporo or New Chitose airport. (with a transfer at Takikawa station). In winter, Japan Rail operates the Furano Ski Express a direct train from New Chitose Airport. The travel time is approximately two hours. There are also several direct trains from Asahikawa, with about a 60 minute transfer time. Bus, taxi and private transfer options are also available.
Local Bus
The ‘Lavender-Go Bus' operates from Ashikawa Airport and takes you almost to Yuki-Jo's front door at a very reasonable price.
Car
Guests arriving by car, will find garage space for four vehicles and generous storage space for all luggage and equipment. An interior lift will also assist for a stress free arrival. A taxi can also be easily arranged from central arrival points in Furano directly to Yuki-Jo.
